Chorus Niagara 10th Annual Singathon

February 20, 2016

Chorus Niagara holds its 10th annual Singathon Fundraiser at the “The Most Famous Food Court in the World.” Chorus Niagara performs the Singathon again this year at the Seaway Mall in Welland, where the choir's YouTube viral fame began. The public is invited to attend a free 5-hour concert with celebrity conductors. Each year Chorus Niagara invites several community leaders to try their hand at conducting 100+ singers. Watch with amazement as Artistic Director Robert Cooper lends the celebrities a helping hand, and teaches them basic methods of conducting. We will be sure to perform the famed Hallelujah Chorus for shoppers. Also appearing from 11:45am to 12:30pm will be our own Chorus Niagara Children's Choir. The public is invited to experience this vocal marathon at the Seaway Mall on Saturday, February 20th and listen to Chorus Niagara sing a variety of music from our repertoire. Interested audience members are also invited to join the choir for a free singing lesson from 10-11am. Singathon is a major Chorus Niagara fundraiser and generous community support is needed in order to continue presenting our programs of great, inspiring music. Donations can be made in person during the Singathon, to any member of the choir or easily and securely online through www.canadahelps.org
